LONDON, July 30 Aurelian Oil & Gas PLC plans to carry out seismic work over the next 3 years, including 3D, on three blocks it acquired under Poland's latest licensing round.

The company acquired Blocks 202/222 (Cybinka), Blocks 203/223 (Torzym), and Block 249 (Kalisz) in the Zechstein/Rotliegendes basin of midwestern Poland. The basin extends westwards through Germany and Holland into the prolific gas-producing sectors of the Dutch and UK North Sea.

Aurelian hopes to start operations before the end of 2007. It will be operator of all of the blocks with 50% stakes. It will work with GB Petroleum PLC, 40%, and Boshold BV, 10%.
