LONDON, June 25 -- Exxoil SA will drill two onshore wells in Tunisia by yearend under an agreement with Oil Field Services (OFS). OFS will use its Franks Cabot 900 rig to drill both wells.

Exxoil, the 0operator, plans to spud the first well in July or August on the Zita prospect in the Ras Mamour permit in southern Tunisia. Zita 1 will be drilled to 2,250 m TD, with the Jurassic Mrabtine formation (Malm) as a primary target. The Zita structure is geologically and structurally similar to that in nearby producing Ezzaouia field.

The second well will be spud on the Serdouk prospect in the Grombalia permit in northern Tunisia.

Other partners with Exxoil in the licenses are Tunisia's state-owned company Enterprises Tunisienne d'Activites Petrolieres and Circle Oil PLC (OGJ Online, Apr. 16, 2007).
