HOUSTON, May 14 -- Exploration Co., San Antonio, Tex., has changed its name to TXCO Resources Inc. The name change follows the company's recent acquisition of Output Exploration LLC for $95.6 million in cash and stock (OGJ Online, Feb. 21, 2007).
The new name "better reflects the broader opportunities we have today," Chairman, Pres., and Chief Executive Officer James E. Sigmon said May 11 at a company meeting.
He added, "We have gained new development and exploitation potential that was not reflected in the name that has served us for more than 25 years. We have become a larger and more diverse organization."
