HOUSTON, May 23 -- The Barbados Ministry of Energy and the Environment will launch a 2007 offshore licensing round with the offer of 20 blocks on the shelf and deepwater Northeast Caribbean Deformed Belt.

Presentations are set for June 22 in St. James, Barbados, and June 27 in Houston, superseding earlier dates (OGJ Online, Apr. 2, 2007). IHS Inc. is advising the ministry.

A petroleum law, fiscal system, and regulations are being drafted for ratification in the third quarter of 2007.
