US to host LNG17 conference in 2013

The US has been selected to host a major LNG conference and exhibition in 2013, the American Gas Association reported on Apr. 23.

WASHINGTON, DC, Apr. 26 -- The US has been selected to host a major LNG conference and exhibition in 2013, the American Gas Association reported on Apr. 23. It said a US host city for the conference, informally known as LNG17, will be selected later.

The announcement came on the eve of the 15th International Conference & Exhibition on LNG in Barcelona, LNG15, which has attracted more than 3,000 registrants and included more than 20,000 sq m of exhibits. It runs Apr. 24-27.

The 2010 conference will be held in Algeria. These conferences have been held every 3 years since 1968, alternating between producing and consuming nations.
