HOUSTON, Apr. 20 -- Pemex Exploration & Production Co. has secured three 200 ft, mat-cantilever jack ups from Pride International Inc. for 1-year drilling obligations in Mexican waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

The rigs under contract are the Pride Alabama, Pride Colorado, and Pride Mississippi.

The Pride Alabama and Pride Colorado contracts are extensions of existing Pemex commitments in the Mexican gulf and are expected to begin in May and July, respectively.

The contract for the Pride Mississippi is expected to start in September, following completion of current contract commitments and rig mobilization from the US Gulf of Mexico.

Aggregate revenues from the three contract awards are about $106.8 million, excluding revenues from mobilization, demobilization, and customer reimbursables.
