LOS ANGELES, Apr. 3 -- Malaysia LNG Sdn. Bhd. (MLNG), a subsidiary of state-run Petronas, has signed an agreement with Japan's Saibu Gas Co. Ltd. to supply up to 390,000 tonnes/year (tpy) of LNG for 15 years beginning October 2013.
The agreement extends a 20-year supply contract the companies signed in 1990. Saibu Gas will receive LNG from the MLNG plant in the Petronas LNG Complex in Bintulu, Sarawak, taking delivery from the Aman Hakata and Aman Bintulu LNG vessels in Nagasaki and Hakata.
Saibu Gas currently receives about 357,000 tpy of LNG from MLNG under the existing long-term contract.
