LONDON, Apr. 26 -- Europa Oil & Gas (Holdings) PLC has completed a 2D seismic survey on its PEDL150 license, near Lincoln in the UK, and will interpret the data to identify drilling prospects.
The 50-km survey area surrounds Whisby field, where Europa drilled a farmin well in 2003. The well has since produced more than 200,000 bbl of oil, Europa said.
Europa acquired these data by relinquishing a 25% interest in the license to Valhalla Oil & Gas PLC, which funded the survey. Valhalla has an option to earn an additional 25% by funding a further 50% of an exploration well.
