HOUSTON, Feb. 23 -- RWE Dea UK SNS Ltd. has agreed to farm in to Elixir Petroleum Ltd.'s Block 211/18b in the northern UK North Sea.

Block 211/18b (License P1381) is a traditional license awarded in a December 2005 round. The current interest holders in P1381 are Elixir 80% and Sosina Exploration Ltd. 20%.

RWE Dea will secure a 30% interest in Block 211/18b and participate in drilling an exploration well on the Leopard prospect—a large Upper Jurassic stratigraphic prospect mapped by 3D seismic interpretation.

The offer is conditional upon execution of a formal farmin agreement by Apr. 30 and the consent of the UK secretary of state for trade and industry.
