HOUSTON, Feb. 5 -- ATP Oil & Gas Corp. has acquired interests in three blocks near its operations on Mississippi Canyon Block 711 in the Gulf of Mexico that include Gomez oil and gas field.

ATP currently produces more than 100 MMcfd of gas equivalent from Gomez. The company believes the latest acquisitions will enable it to ramp up production for 2007 and beyond.

The acquisition includes 100% working interest in an oil discovery in Anduin oil field in the northwest quarter of MC Block 755, adjacent to MC Block 711.

ATP intends to start production at Anduin this year by sidetracking and completing the MC Block 755 No. 2 well and tying it back to ATP's floating production facility at MC Block 711.

Upon successful completion of the MC Block 755 No. 2 well, ATP will earn a 50% working interest in MC Block 754 and a 25% working interest in MC Block 800.
