HOUSTON, Jan. 4 -- A group led by Toreador Resources Corp., Dallas, said the Black Sea Akcakoca-3 well's shallowest zone flowed 20 MMcfd on test at 1,360 psi through a 48/64-in. choke.

The well off Turkey involves seven Eocene Kusuri formation zones. The recent test flow was from 82 ft of perforations at 3,830-3,918 ft TVD.

Akcakoca-3 was designed for dual completion to allow simultaneous production from shallow and deep zones. Last month a test of the deepest zone flowed at 18 MMcfd (OGJ Online, Dec. 15, 2006).

Toreador spudded the Akcakoca-4 well, targeting a separate block to the east along the Akcakoca fault trend. Completion and testing are expected by Feb. 15.

The Akcakoca-3 and Akcakoca-4 wells are in the South Akcakoca subbasin. Toreador is operator with a 36.75% working interest.

Construction of the South Akcakoca subbasin production center was completed. Commissioning of the plant equipment was under way.

An offshore pipeline that ties the Akkaya, Dogu Ayazli, and Ayazli production platforms to the production center also is completed. The pipeline is being buried before testing.
