HOUSTON, Jan. 10 -- A joint venture led by Indago Petroleum, Dubai, reported the West Bukha-2A (WB2A) well on Block 8 off Oman flowed on final test at 12,750 b/d of oil and 26 MMscfd of gas from two zones.

Sustained rates of 25 MMscfd of gas and 8,364 b/d of oil were achieved from the upper Ilam-Mishrif-Mauddud formation during the final test. This complemented flows of as much as 4,392 b/d previously reported for the separate Thamama formation (OGJ Online, Nov. 9, 2006).

On Nov. 21, Indago said the Ilam-Mishrif-Mauddud flowed at 7,600 b/d and 20.5 MMscfd from a perforated interval of 60 m spanning 4,005-4,127 m in depth. Equipment failures forced curtailment of that test.

After repairs, the same interval was flowed at various rates during Dec. 5-10. On average, 41.5º gravity oil flowed 8,364 b/d for 15 hr through a 72/64-in. choke, while the gas flow was 24.9 MMscfd. Tubing pressure was 2,090 psi.

The water cut, resulting from the earlier well kill and subsequent reacidization, declined until no water was recorded.

Indago's partners are LG International 50%, and Heritage Oil Corp. subsidiary Eagle Energy (Oman) Ltd. 10%.
