HOUSTON, Dec. 13 -- A group led by Roch SA plans a drilling program in 2007 based upon an oil well test in Los Patos field on Argentina's Tierra del Fuego licenses, said Antrim Energy Inc., a partner.
Development well Los Patos 1008 (LP-1008) intersected the Cretaceous Springhill formation at 2,327 m and was logged and perforated over a 20-m interval (16 m net). The well, on a 38-hr test, flowed naturally at a stabilized 377 b/d of light, sweet crude with negligible water through a 20-mm choke.
Last year, the group shot a 3D seismic survey. It plans another 3D survey next year. Partners signed a 2-year rig contract, and drilling is expected to start in second-quarter 2007, Atrim said.
