LONDON, Nov. 16 -- Premier Oil PLC has logged oil in four intervals of its Blackbird well on Block 12E off Vietnam.
The company ran wireline logs in the well and plans drillstem tests.
The well, drilled to TD of 4,058 m, tested a large tilted fault block 21 km southwest of Premier's Dua discovery (OGJ Online, Oct. 11, 2006).
Premier plans to appraise the Blackbird and Dua discoveries and conduct more exploration on Block 12E, which is in shallow water in the Nam Con Son basin 400 km southeast of Ho Chi Minh City.
