HOUSTON, Oct. 18 -- Talisman Energy Inc., Calgary, has drilled its 54th successful well in the Alberta Foothills and plans to drill 11 more in the region. It also plans to drill 30 gross wells in 2007.
The completed well tested at 14 MMcfd of raw gas (gross). Talisman expects to tie in the well during second quarter 2007.
Talisman currently has 55 MMcfd of raw sales gas behind pipe in the Alberta Foothills region. The gas is being tied in to the Talisman-operated Lynx and Palliser pipelines, as well as other area facilities.
The company recently set a new weekly production record of 185 MMcfd in the Alberta Foothills, an emerging growth area for Talisman.
Talisman has 200 leads on its 740,000 gross Alberta Foothills acreage, with estimated prospective resources of 3 tcf of gas.
