BANGKOK, Sept. 5 -- Thailand's PTT PLC has raised its purchases of natural gas from Yadana and nearby gas fields in Myanmar's Gulf of Martaban to 565 MMcfd from 525 MMcfd.

The incremental delivery comes primarily from Sein, a sister field of Yadana, which started production in March at the rate of 35 MMcfd.

Gas from Yadana, on production since July 1998, moves to Thailand through a 409-km pipeline.

The Yadana group includes Total Myanmar, operator, Unocal Myanmar Offshore Co., PTT Exploration U& Production International Ltd., and Myanmar Oil & Gas Enterprise.
