BANGKOK, Sept. 22 -- Thailand's PTT Exploration & Production PLC and Bangladesh's state oil firm Petrobangla have signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly explore for hydrocarbons in the Bay of Bengal off Bangladesh.
The companies plan to start geological and seismic surveys on Blocks 18A, 19A, and 19B soon.
These blocks are among 26 offshore blocks Bangladesh will offer for licensing to international oil companies, following resolution of a legal dispute.
