Oilex-led group wins Block 103 in offshore JPDA

A consortium consisting of Oilex and Indian firms Videocon Industries Bharat Petroleum, and Gujarat State Petroleum was awarded Block 103 in the northern part of the JPDA of Timor-Leste and Australia.

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 18 -- A consortium consisting of Oilex NL (operator), West Perth, and Indian companies Videocon Industries Ltd., Bharat Petroleum Corp., and Gujarat State Petroleum Corp. Ltd. has been awarded Block 103 in the northern part of the Joint Petroleum Development Area of the governments of Timor-Leste and Australia.

Block 103 is east of the Laminaria, Corallina, Kakatua, Kuda Tasi, and Elang oil and gas fields and north of the Bayu-Undan gas-condensate field (OGJ Online,Feb. 13, 2004).

Each partner has a 25% stake in the consortium.
