HOUSTON, July 27 -- ATP Oil & Gas Corp., Houston, has acquired a 100% interest in one block and increased its stake in two other blocks in the Mississippi Canyon and Atwater Valley areas in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico.

ATP acquired 100% interest in Atwater Valley Block 63 (Telemark project). Upon approval from the US Minerals Management Service, ATP will be the block's designated operator.

In addition, ATP acquired another 25% working interest in MC Block 941 (Mirage project) and MC Block 943 (Oasis project), increasing its ownership to 100% in each of these blocks. ATP already operates the Mirage and Oasis properties.

The acquisitions make ATP sole owner and operator of four blocks, which lie in 3,800-4,400 ft of water. ATP already was sole interest owner and operator of MC Block 942 (Morgus project).

The company expects to start development at Mirage this year with production anticipated at both Mirage and Morgus during 2007-08.
