HOUSTON, June 20 -- ENSCO International Inc., Dallas, reported that its ENSCO 107 jack up was damaged while preloading on a drilling site off Vietnam.

Preliminary inspection indicates that the damage is relatively minor. The rig has been safely jacked down and is under tow to Vung Tau.

The rig will move to the Keppel FELS shipyard in Singapore for repairs, which are expected to be covered by insurance after a $5.5 million deductible.

The rig is under contract to the Korean National Oil Co. for a 7-well program off Vietnam. It is not yet known when the rig will return to work although initial estimates suggest a 60-day suspension of operations.
