Japan crude imports up again in February

Japan's crude oil imports rose to 133.85 million bbl in February, an 11.2% increase over the same time last year, the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry said Mar. 31.

LOS ANGELES, Mar. 31 -- Japan's crude oil imports rose to 133.85 million bbl in February, an 11.2% increase over the same time last year, the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry said Mar. 31.

Saudi Arabia was Japan's biggest oil supplier, increasing by 15.6% over the same month last year to 38.81 million bbl. It was followed by the UAE, up 16% with 32.39 million bbl.
