HOUSTON, Mar. 15 -- Four formations flowed gas-condensate at an exploration well in northern Pakistan's Northwest Frontier Province.

MOL Pakistan, Budapest, said the Manzalai-2 well is southwest of Peshawar on the Tal Block, which it operates with 10% interest.

Drillstem test rates are: Jurassic Samana Suk, 22 MMscfd and 428 b/d; Cretaceous Lumshiwal, 24 MMcfd and 489 b/d; Upper Cretaceous Hangu, 25 MMcfd and 450 b/d; and Paleogene Lockhart, 16.6 MMcfd and 274 b/d.

The group's first discovery, Manzalai-1, came in December 2002 and found an estimated 1 tcf of gas dubbed Gurguri gas-condensate field (OGJ Online, Jan. 12, 2005).

Others in the Tal Block are Pakistan Petroleum Ltd., Pakistan Oilfields Ltd., Oil & Gas Development Co., and Government Holdings.
