Several independents plan to drill near West Short Pine Hills gas field and the South Cedar Creek anticline in Harding County.

HOUSTON, Feb. 3 -- Several independents plan to drill near West Short Pine Hills gas field and the South Cedar Creek anticline in Harding County.

Gold Point Energy Corp., Vancouver, BC, with participants Spyglass NSPH LLC, San Antonio, and Silver Tip Energy LLC, Red Lodge, Mont., will drill two wells in the 54,626 net acre North Short Pine Hills area southwest of the field that has produced 23 bcf of gas from the Shannon formation at 1,000-1,500 ft.

To the east, Gold Point plans to drill five wells at South Cedar Creek anticline, which may also have Shannon potential.
