KARACHI, Feb. 28 -- Pakistan has granted four petroleum exploration licenses to Eni Pakistan Ltd. for the Mithi (2470-3), Rajar (2470-2), Thar (2569-2), and Umarkot (2469-8) blocks in the Tarparkar, Umerkot, and Sanghar districts of Sindh Province.
Eni will invest about $32.4 million during the initial 3-year license period. It will conduct geological and geophysical studies, shoot a 2D seismic survey, and drill two exploratory wells.
