HOUSTON, Feb. 2 -- Rick Webber has been named president and chief executive of Austral Pacific Energy Ltd., effective Feb. 7.
Webber, a New Zealander with 30 years of experience in the international oil and gas industry, has worked in the Middle East, the Far East, the UK, Australia, Papua New Guinea, and New Zealand.
He has held a variety of technical and executive roles with Schlumberger Ltd., BP PLC, and Fletcher Challenge Energy.
