HOUSTON, Jan. 9 -- Adani Port Infrastructure Ltd. Gujarat, part of India's diversified industrial group Adani Group, sought exploration licenses for two onshore blocks in Thailand.
The tracts are L25/48, which covers 3,962 sq km in the central plains, and the 3,975 sq km block L39/48 in the northeast, said the Department of Mineral Fuels.
The areas are uncontested. The Indian firm became the latest among 11 international firms which submitted applications in Thailand's 19th bidding round.
A total of 15 exploration blocks including eight onshore and seven offshore blocks in the Gulf of Thailand, are sought (OGJ Online, Aug. 22 and Oct. 24, 2005).
