HOUSTON, Jan. 23 -- The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources let a contract to Veritas Caspian LLP, an affiliate of Veritas DGC Ltd., London, to acquire nonexclusive seismic data over the entire open acreage of what Kazakhstan claims as its sector of the Caspian Sea.
Veritas will start acquisition this year and coordinate it with forthcoming license rounds.
Veritas Caspian is a joint venture between Veritas DGC and Kazmorgeophysica CJSC, a subsidiary of the established offshore support company Caspian Services Inc., Almaty.
