TexStar buys midstream gas assets in Texas

TexStar Field Services LP, a San Antonio-based natural gas midstream energy company created in 2004 by Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst Inc., has acquired midstream natural gas assets in South and Northeast Texas from Enbridge Energy Partners LP.

HOUSTON, Dec. 7 -- TexStar Field Services LP, a San Antonio-based natural gas midstream energy company created in 2004 by Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst Inc., has acquired midstream natural gas assets in South and Northeast Texas from Enbridge Energy Partners LP.

The $106 million purchase includes 762 miles of gathering lines, two large hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide treating facilities, a cryogenic NGL recovery facility, and a 34-mile NGL line.
