Sudan starts up product export line

Sudan has started up a 12-in., 741-km pipeline for the export of oil products from the 50,000 b/d Gaili refinery to Port Sudan on the Red Sea coast.

LOS ANGELES, Dec 12 -- Sudan has started up a 12-in., 741-km pipeline for the export of oil products from the 50,000 b/d Gaili refinery to Port Sudan on the Red Sea coast.

Constructed by India's ONGC Videsh Ltd in 14 months at a cost of $194 million, the pipeline is designed for throughput of as much as 2.54 million tonnes/year of gas oil and gasoline.
