MELBOURNE, Nov. 17 -- Great Artesian Oil & Gas Ltd., Sydney, has signed a well tie-in and service agreement with the South Australian Cooper basin producers for the construction of a 4.5 km pipeline to connect the Smegsy-1 gas discovery in the Cooper basin to the basin's pipeline system feeding into Moomba gas treatment facilities.
Construction, to be completed by yearend, will be followed by commissioning and an extended production test to determine optimal gas flow rates.
Great Artesian is operator of Smegsy field and holds a 75% interest. Enterprise Energy NL, Adelaide, has the remaining 25% interest.
