HOUSTON, Nov. 4 -- The Dewan Mushtaq Group of Pakistan plans to submit a commerciality declaration and development plan by the end of 2005 for Rodho gas-condensate field in the Middle Indus basin in Pakistan.

Production is to start in the second quarter of 2006 on completion of a 22-km gas pipeline, said Rally Energy Corp., Calgary, with a 22.5% carried interest. Rodho is 15 km southeast of and on trend with Dhodak gas-condensate field (OGJ Online, Mar. 9, 2005).

The participants plan to drill a well in second quarter 2006 to test the prospective Jurassic-Cretaceous Sembar formation as well as the overlying Cretaceous Lower Goru, the field's main pay zone.

Meanwhile, Rodho-2 flowed a combined 10.4 MMcfd of gas on a 1-in. choke from Lower Goru and the shallower Cretaceous Pab and Paleogene Dunghan formations.

Rodho-3 flowed 10 MMcfd on a 1-in. choke with no decline, and a frac job was under consideration.

The 850-sq-km Safed Koh block also contains the large Afiband and Zindapir structures south of Rodho.

Other block interests are Dewan Mustaq Group 57.5% interest and MESA Petroleum (Pvt.) Ltd. 20%.
