HOUSTON, Sept. 9 -- Two LNG projects reported unrelated production setbacks. Nigeria LNG Ltd. (NLNG) is repairing fire-related pipeline damage, while Australia's North West Shelf Venture is fixing a refrigerant compressor.

NLNG temporarily reduced production from its liquefaction plant at Finima on Bonny Island following an Aug. 23 leak and fire in the main gas supply pipeline. The fire was extinguished Aug. 27. No repair timetable was given. There were no reported injuries.

North West Shelf operator Woodside Energy Ltd. said Train 4 at the Karratha gas plant in Western Australia was shut down Aug. 31 for repair of a mixed refrigerant compressor.

The repairs could take 30 days, Woodside estimated, adding that the other three LNG processing trains were unaffected by the shutdown.
