Robinson named APPEA executive director

Belinda Robinson has succeeded Barry Jones as executive director of the Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association (APPEA).

MELBOURNE, Aug. 10 -- Belinda Robinson has succeeded Barry Jones as executive director of the Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association (APPEA).

Robinson joins APPEA from the Australian Plantation Products & Paper Industry Council (A3P), where she served as chief executive officer. Previously she was executive director of the Australian Paper Industry Council before it merged with the Plantation Timber Association of Australia to form A3P.

Prior to that she worked for 9 years with the Australian government, six of which at senior levels within the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet.

Jones held the APPEA executive director position for 8 years.
