PTTEP gets its third PSC off Myanmar

Thailand's PTT Exploration & Production PLC has signed a third production sharing contract for the Gulf of Martaban off Myanmar.

BANGKOK, July 27 -- Thailand's PTT Exploration & Production PLC (PTTEP) has signed a third production sharing contract (PSC) for the Gulf of Martaban off Myanmar.

The latest contract is for 7,200-sq-km Block M-11. PTTEP has 100% interest and will be operator. It plans geological and geophysical studies, seismic surveys, and drilling of one exploration well on the block.

PTTEP's other Myanmar PSCs cover Blocks M3 and M4 (18,000 sq km) and M7 and M9 (27,000 sq km). It holds 100% interests.

The company also has 25% ownership of Yadana natural gas field, operated by Total SA, and a 14% stake in Yetagun gas-condensate field.
