LOS ANGELES, June 7-- Japan's Toho Gas Co. announced an agreement to purchase as much as 500,000 tonnes/year of LNG from Sakhalin Energy Investment Co., operator of the Sakhalin II gas and oil project.
Toho will purchase 60,000 tonnes/year during an initial 4-year period from April 2009. Purchases will increase to 500,000 tonnes/year for a further 20-year period.
