HOUSTON, May 17 -- Dolphin Energy Ltd. began to supply natural gas May 15 to Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.

Dolphin will supply an average 40 MMcfd of natural gas from Oman for 2 years and 2 months. The gas is being delivered to the Ras Al Khaimah Gas Commission via a tie-in near Qidfa between Dolphin's dedicated Al Ain-Fujairah pipeline, completed in January 2004, and the Emirates General Petroleum Corp. (Emarat) gas pipeline network serving the northern UAE.

Dolphin and Emarat have begun hot-tap procedures to link their pipelines without disrupting flow.

The supply contract was signed for Dolphin in October 2004. Dolphin expects completion of its Export Pipeline from Qatar to the UAE at the end of 2006, after which Oman is expected to become a buyer.

Dolphin Energy is owned 51% by Mubadala Development Co., on behalf of the Abu Dhabi government, and 24.5% each by Total SA and Occidental Petroleum Corp.
