HOUSTON, Feb. 10 -- Independent Venoco Inc., Carpinteria, Calif., has named William Schneider as president.
Schneider has more than 20 years of experience including investment banking, corporate finance, worldwide business development, and corporate planning. He has spent the last 10 years in investment banking, most recently as a managing director for Harris Nesbitt's Energy Group.
Prior to his tenure at Harris Nesbitt, Schneider was with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and Smith-Barney. Prior to banking, Schneider spent 12 years with Unocal Corp. including managing corporate planning and investor relations.
