HOUSTON, Feb. 9 -- A group of seasoned Rocky Mountain oil and gas executives formed Slate River Resources LLC, Denver, to operate in the Central Rockies.
Slate River will have $30 million in equity financing in the next 3 years from private Lime Rock Partners, Westport, Conn. Principals in Slate River are Carter Mathies, Gary Davis, John Conley, Bruce Johnston, and Gary Forrest.
The company initially will pursue development projects in the Uinta and Piceance basins in eastern Utah and western Colorado.
