HOUSTON, Feb. 22 -- Barry D. Lasker will succeed Walter B. Ruck as president and CEO of Ridgeway Petroleum Corp., Calgary independent with helium and carbon dioxide properties in Arizona and New Mexico. Lasker will be based in Houston.

Ruck, the company's founding shareholder in 1980, will remain as chairman and a director.

Lasker is president of private Darcy Energy LLC, a Texas Gulf Coast oil and gas exploration and development concern. In 1997-2004 he was president and chief executive officer of GHP Exploration Corp., TransAtlantic Petroleum Corp., and Kestrel Energy Inc.
