Gulf Landing LNG project approved

Shell US Gas & Power LLC has gained approval of the US Maritime Administration for its Gulf Landing LNG receiving and regasification terminal in the Gulf of Mexico.

HOUSTON, Feb. 18 -- Shell US Gas & Power LLC has gained approval of the US Maritime Administration for its Gulf Landing LNG receiving and regasification terminal in the Gulf of Mexico.

The Gulf Landing facility will have the capacity to deliver 1 bcfd of natural gas to the US interstate pipeline network (OGJ Online Nov. 14, 2003). It will be a gravity-based structure in 55 f of water 38 miles off Louisiana on West Cameron Block 213.
