Mudslide shuts in Vintage output

Vintage Petroleum, Inc., Tulsa, has temporarily shut in net production of about 5,000 bo/d and 6 MMcfd of gas at its facility in Ventura County, Calif., due to heavy rains and mudslides in the area.

HOUSTON, Jan. 17 -- Vintage Petroleum, Inc., Tulsa, has temporarily shut in net production of about 5,000 bo/d and 6 MMcfd of gas at its facility in Ventura County, Calif., due to heavy rains and mudslides in the area.

Vintage's total production in the third quarter of 2004 was 78,919 boe/d.

Some of the production is expected to remain shut-in for several weeks.
