HOUSTON, Nov. 1 -- BG Group PLC announced two new appointments to its executive committee.
Jorn Berget has been appointed executive vice-president, BG Advance beginning in November.
Berget joined BG from Royal Dutch/Shell where he was regional production director for North and South America. Prior to this post he was General Manager of Shell's Northern Business Unit. Berget has held various positions covering all aspects of Shell's exploration and production business.
Peter Hughes will join BG Group at the end of the year as executive vice-president, group strategy.
Hughes joins the company from BP PLC where he was most recently vice-president, strategy and portfolio in BP's gas, power and renewables segment. He has also worked for the European Commission in Brussels and for Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA) as senior director, European Energy and PanEurAsia Groups.
