Knightsbridge acquires Nimir companies from Saudi interests

Knightsbridge Investments Ltd., London, acquired international oil and chemicals concern Nimir Holdings Ltd. from Saudi interests for an undisclosed sum.

HOUSTON, Nov. 4 -- Knightsbridge Investments Ltd., London, acquired international oil and chemicals concern Nimir Holdings Ltd. from Saudi interests for an undisclosed sum.

Nimir Petroleum Ltd. changed its name to Knightsbridge Petroleum (UK) Ltd. and will continue to operate from offices at 1 Knightsbridge.

Sellers were Nimir's two shareholders, Abdulrahman bin Mahfouz and Sultan bin Mahfouz.

Nimir operated as Hocol SA in Colombia and Hocol Venezuela BV in Venezuela. Its 2003 net production averaged 24,300 b/d in Colombia and 3,500 b/d in Venezuela.

Nimir Chemicals Co. Ltd., Dubai, has subsidiaries in Pakistan, UAE, and Egypt.
