HOUSTON, Nov. 1 -- Davis Petroleum Corp., Denver, has appointed Mike McGuire as senior vice-president of its Rocky Mountain oil and natural gas operations.
Most recently, McGuire served as executive vice-president, exploration, for Prima Energy Corp., which was recently acquired by Petro-Canada.
McGuire worked in exploration and production research for Cities Service Oil Co. during 1973-78. In 1978, he joined Amoco Production Co., where he managed exploration and development projects throughout the Rocky Mountain states and in Africa.
During 1986-97, McGuire operated McGuire Geological Consulting LLC.
