Forest brings West Cameron well on production in Gulf of Mexico

Denver-based independent Forest Oil Corp. started initial production from its deep shelf discovery on West Cameron Block 112 in the Gulf of Mexico.

HOUSTON, July 20 -- Denver-based independent Forest Oil Corp. started initial production from its deep shelf discovery on West Cameron Block 112 in the Gulf of Mexico.

The WC 112 No. 1 well was drilled to 15,350 ft TD and was placed online to sales. It is now producing about 33 MMcfed of natural gas and condensate with 9,625 psi flowing tubing pressure.

Forest, as operator, has a 55% working interest in the discovery and Dominion Exploration & Production Inc., a subsidiary of Dominion, holds a 45% working interest in this well.
