Petrobras awards subsea contract for Roncador field off Brazil

Petroleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras) has awarded a $36 million contract to a unit of Houston-based FMC Technologies Inc. for the supply of subsea production equipment for Petrobras's Roncador project, which lies in the northern part of the Campos basin in 4,900-6,200 ft of water off Brazil.

HOUSTON, May 18 -- Petroleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras) has awarded a $36 million contract to a unit of Houston-based FMC Technologies Inc. for the supply of subsea production equipment for Petrobras's Roncador project, which lies in the northern part of the Campos basin in 4,900-6,200 ft of water off Brazil.

Under the contract FMC's CBV subsea business unit, which supplied subsea systems for two previous phases of Roncador field's development, will supply manifolds, production controls, and associated equipment.

A completion date for the work was not disclosed.
