Tullow Oil names new executive director

Tullow Oil PLC, London, said Paul McDade will replace John Lander, who is retiring as UK business unit managing director in mid-April. Lander will continue to act as a company consultant.

HOUSTON, Apr. 6 -- Tullow Oil PLC, London, said Paul McDade will replace John Lander, who is retiring as UK business unit managing director in mid-April. Lander will continue to act as a company consultant.

McDade joined Tullow to direct operations and technical matters in June 2001. He has extensive UK Continental Shelf and international experience with Lasmo PLC, Talisman Energy Inc. and Conoco Inc.

Lander started with Shell in the 1960s and has more than 35 years experience in the international oil production arena, serving as president of the Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain in 1996.
