HOUSTON, Apr. 27 -- TEPPCO Partners LP, Houston, plans to expand by 8,000-10,000 b/d its delivery capacity for liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) to northeast US markets effective this October.

In 2003, TEPPCO increased delivery capability between Todhunter and Coshocton, Ohio, by 8,000-10,000 b/d and increased storage and improved loading capability at Oneonta, NY

The Phase II expansion includes construction of three pump stations between Coshocton and Greensburg, Penn., and two stations from Greensburg to Watkins Glen, NY. Additional work on the pipeline segment between Greensburg and Philadelphia will increase delivery rates to the Philadelphia area.

TEPPCO also plans improvements at terminals in Dubois and Eagle, Penn., including addition of automated loading systems at Dubois. Improvements at Eagle will include addition of 180,000 gal of propane storage and back-up loading systems to ensure two bay operations.

"These enhancements will significantly improve deliverability on the Northeast system for all of TEPPCO's shippers," said Thomas R. Harper, senior vice-president, commercial downstream.

TEPPCO is the only pipeline that transports LPG from the upper Texas Gulf Coast to the Northeast US. Its customers include refiners and propane wholesalers and retailers.
