Forest Oil announces personnel changes

Forest Oil Corp., Denver Monday announced several executive appointments.

HOUSTON, Apr. 23 -- Forest Oil Corp., Denver Monday announced several executive appointments.

J.C. Ridens was named senior vice-president, Gulf Coast region. He will succeed Bud Knell, who will retire later this year. Ridens held previous engineering and managerial positions in the industry, most recently with Apache Corp., Houston and as vice-president, operations and exploitation, for Denver-based Cordillera Energy Partners LLC.

R. Scot Woodall was promoted to vice-president, western region. Woodall in his most recent capacity served as production and engineering manager in that business unit.

Matthew A. Wurtzbacher was named senior vice-president, corporate planning and development. Wurtzbacher has held a variety of petroleum engineering and business development positions in the industry, most recently for Schlumberger Ltd. and Apache

Cecil N. Colwell has been named vice-president, worldwide drilling. Colwell previously served as vice-president, drilling, Gulf Coast region.
