HOUSTON, Feb. 18 -- Vintage Petroleum Inc., Tulsa, announced Chairman Charles C. Stephenson Jr. was named to the additional position of president and CEO, succeeding Pres. and CEO S. Craig George, who resigned effective immediately.
Stephenson, a Vintage co-founder, has been a director since June 1983 and
chairman since April 1987. He also served as CEO from April 1987 to March 1994 and as president from June 1983 to May 1990.
George resigned to pursue other interests. He has also resigned as a Vintage director.
